It’s one of my favorite Frankenmuth events of the year. What started as a small gathering of car enthusiasts in 1983 has grown into one of the premier auto festivals in the nation. Now in its 41st year, Frankenmuth Auto Fest will attract thousands of classic cars and tens of thousands of enthusiasts to our community for its three-day event September 6-8.
Don’t miss the Big Block Party on Friday evening September 6th. Main Street in Frankenmuth closes and over 2,000 cars roll into place. It’s a lively evening, in addition to the classic cars; food vendors, restaurants, shops and music line the mile long party. Really, one of my favorite festival evenings in Frankenmuth!
This year’s official Auto Fest t-shirt will feature a rendering of The Mill at Zehnder Park. The Mill, located in the center of the action, just south of Zehnder’s along the banks of the Cass River, will look over the dozens of cars and enthusiasts in Zehnder Park.
